CNB Voted One of the Best Places to Work in Texas

For the fourth time, Adrenaline’s client Citizens National Bank makes the annual list honoring great workplaces

November 19, 2018 – Citizens National Bank has just been named one of 2019’s Best Companies to Work for in Texas for the second year in a row and the fourth time since 2015. This joint program between Texas Monthly Magazine, the Texas Association of Business, the Texas Chapter of Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Best Companies Group was introduced in 2006 to engage the area’s best employers and provide valuable employee feedback to enhance workplaces across the state.

About the employee experience at Citizens National Bank, Woodie Tipps, EVP & Chief Retail Officer, says, “We have a saying here that we always try to work hard and then play hard. We really expect our employees to put a lot of effort and commitment into their jobs. But, we also like to have a good time and reward that effort. I think our people really do experience that at CNB. We really have a great staff we’re committed to and have implemented programs and activities that make this a good, fun place to work.”

Danette Heffner, EVP & Director of Human Resources, discusses how applying for the awards has made CNB an even better place to work. She says, “Entering is an extensive process with a lot of questions about our benefits and culture, really delving into the entire employment experience at Citizens National Bank. On top of that, they send an anonymous survey to randomly selected employees for their feedback. We get the compiled results back – all confidential and anonymous – and a summary of feedback that we use every year to continue improving the employment experience.” 

The statewide survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment across the state of Texas, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce, and businesses, alike. In addition to the 2019 honor, Citizens National Bank was also named one of the 2015, 2016, and 2018 Best Companies to Work for in Texas. Adrenaline has worked with Citizens National Bank to enhance their customer experiences through branch transformation and support implementation of their universal banker programs.
